Online pornography has created a huge problem for our churches and communities. The shift from the sex shop to smart phone means porn has never been more accessible, affordable, anonymous or addictive. Just one online pornsite boasts a reach of over 100 million people every day. This is the first generation with anytime, anywhere access to unregulated hardcore content, deeply affecting men, women and children physically, emotionally, relationally and spiritually.

After a successful launch in London last year, we’re bringing PWord to Belfast. Our heart is to equip leaders with a practical and pastoral response to the issue of pornography. The conference will feature a variety of short talks from a range of experts including activists, therapists and theologians. Delegates will receive both a clear understanding of the social costs of pornography and be given practical tools to address pornography in their churches and communities

We would love for you to join us along with anyone who may benefit from this training in your community; youth leaders, small group teams, prayer ministry teams, elders – there is something for everyone here. Tickets include lunch and resources to get you started. We have a great line-up of speakers to share their expertise including Ian Henderson, who is pioneering ministry in this area with the Naked Truth, Paula Hall, the UK’s leading sex addiction therapist (via video link), Ruth Cooke (International Justice Mission) and more.

We are passionate that prayer and worship play a vital role in effecting change over an issue like this, so we are excited to be partnering with 24-7 Prayer Ireland to have a prayer space available during the conference for us to pray into this issue on behalf of our Churches, communities and culture. We will be led in worship throughout the day by Stephen Mayes.
