The new Strategic Plan aims to facilitate and encourage growth in youth ministry by equipping, engaging, and empowering; resourcing youth ministry as effectively as possible; and working in partnership with others.
It is estimated that the Church of Ireland serves over 15,000 young people; this number increases to 25,000 when the work of uniformed youth organisations within our parishes is included. The CIYD Strategic Plan was informed by hours of interviews, focus groups and feedback from young people, youth leaders, church leaders, parents, teachers and other stakeholders across the island of Ireland.
President of CIYD, The Most Rev’d Pat Storey, said:
“As we move forward to equip and inspire our young people and young leaders, we are grateful for the wisdom and guidance of our CIYD staff: Simon, Luke and Barbara.
