Diocesan Youth Officers are employed in several dioceses across the Church of Ireland. They have direct responsibility and oversight in the development of youth ministry within parishes in their diocese and this takes on many different forms. Where there is no Diocesan Youth Officer, each Diocese has a Youth Council / Board consisting of clergy and volunteers to help develop youth ministry.
